Jai Brinkofski
Bio
Jai Brinkofski isn't the kind of person you'd expect to be a rock musician. With a quiet, child-like spirit, he often seems more like a loyal hearted little puppy than an edgy, passionate front man. But behind that youthful smirk is a man with passion to see people's eyes opened to the things that quietly destroy them, and the ways they casually ignore the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
"Having been a youth leader for 6 years, I've seen many unimaginable situations that people wind up in. Kids these days are not like kids 10 years ago. They hurt in many differnet ways that you just won't learn about in seminary or in counseling school. To love them is to be involved as much as possible in their lives without pushing them one way or the other. When people trust you, your words and actions are powerful.
There's a planet called Earth where the broken-hearted pretend to be ok, and many of God's chosen pretend to be just like everyone else. Neither case is true, and both cases make the other feel that life is empty. And life is empty when you live it as a liar and a hypocrite. But in general, people are seeking hope from each other and finding emptiness.
Even many Christians are seeking to fill their tanks with anything but Christ, and those who don't know Him are doing the same. It's time to take a stand and be bold, to not be ashamed of the Truth, to call back those who are quietly turning off of the narrow road, and to call those who have never found it. There is abundant life beyond the hopelessness. Life within the loving arms of Jesus Christ."
Jai has seen his fair share of heartaches, struggles, hills and valleys; yet has maintained an attitude of servanthood to Christ throughout. He's failed and seen the failure of others, succeed and seen others' success, and watched and known the love of God in his life from as early as he can remember. As a member of Checkgauge, his desire is to share this hope by connecting with people the best way he knows how - through both music and by being an example of a life lived in worship.
