Why book Checkgauge?

That's a good question. Why should you? There are a bunch of other great bands in the area, so what makes Checkgauge the right one to book? Well, if the criteria for your event encompasses these things:

• A band that will entertain teenagers and adults alike
• A band that is honest and connects on a personal level with your audience
• A band that is uncompromising about sharing the Gospel or one that encourages your audience to grow closer to Jesus Christ
• A band that always plays worship songs, regardless of event type
• A band that doesn't care so much about being paid as they do the opportunity to minister
• A band that, many would agree, rivals the quality of bands that are already professionals

Wait, run that "doesn't care about being paid" part by me again... Are you guys Free?

Well, maybe. It's not that we don't care about being paid so much as this... if you truly can't afford to bring in a ministering band, but really want to see ministry happen at your event, then we would rather help you minister than get paid. If you can afford to pay our suggested rate ($300/day) or feel God would have you bless us with more (gas is expensive), please don't take advantage of our willingness. But we do completely understand that some places (maybe yours) can't afford our suggested rate, and we don't want that to stop you from partnering in a ministry event with us. We are a fairly experienced band and take pride in providing you with a quality service. Anything you can give is helpful, but if you honestly can give nothing more than an opportunity for us to minister, go ahead and call us or fill out the booking form.

So, I'd love to hear you guys, but you don't have any music up!

We are working on that, I promise you! We do have one song up (free to download from our MySpace page), but it is not a great example of our entire repertoire. In the meantime, we understand your reservations in bringing in a band you haven't heard.
